    One-Stop Center Business Success Story

The Woodland One-Stop Career Center began working with Costco representatives in the beginning of December 2007. The One-Stop center, located in the Department of Employment and Social Services (DESS) was able to provide Costco with interview rooms, rooms for their new hire orientations, office space, services within the computer lab to assist applicants with the on-line application process. In addition, DESS provided staff to assist the Costco recruitment staff. Costco representatives pre-screened and interviewed over 350 candidates and over 150 individuals were hired for full-time, permanent positions, with benefits at Costco.

In addition, Costco has been instrumental since their Grand Opening on February 21, 2008, in providing referrals from sub-contractors to DESS. With these referrals the One-Stop was able to place up to 50 employees.

It is rewarding and exciting to have Costco in Woodland and to go shopping and see our successful employees. Thanks Costco for coming to our community!
