The Yolo County One-Stop Career Centers, located in the Yolo County Department of Employment and Social Services (DESS) can assist with employment, training, and educational needs. The system of One-Stop partners is designed to provide both employers and job seekers with optimum employment related services at no cost to the One-Stop customer.     One-stop partners are a fundamental part of the One-stop Career Center system of Yolo County. We refer many of our customers to essential services depending on their immediate needs. Our partners refer their participants to the One-stop Centers for many of our programs and services, as well. If you have a problem issue, do not hesitate to mention it to our staff to introduce you to the variety of assistance available.

    Resources for Adult/Dislocated Workers
     
    Adult and Dislocated Worker Services are provided through our One-Stop Career Centers, located in the Department of Employment and Social Services (DESS). Comprehensive One-Stop Centers offer a full range of services relating to employment, training, employer services, and referrals to other appropriate services.

    To be eligible, adults must be 18 years of age or older and live in Yolo County.

    Dislocated workers (DW) generally are individuals who have been laid off or terminated from their last employment and are unlikely to return to their previous industry or occupation. Dislocated workers need to live in or have worked in Yolo County. Staff provides orientations to acquaint customers with the full array of services, facilities, and resources.

    • Computer Classes
    • Occupational Skills Training
    • On-The-Job Training
    • Work Experience

    Training may also be available through providers on the Employment and Training Panel (ETP).

    Eligible Training Providers
     
    California's Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) was established in compliance with the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998. The purpose of the ETPL is to provide customer-focused employment training for adults and dislocated workers. Training providers who are eligible to receive Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) through WIA Title I-B funds are listed on the ETPL.
